Evolve Talent is currently seeking a Trade Assistant for a restoration technician role. This is a hands-on field-based role suited to motivated technicians who take pride in their work, value customer service, and thrive in a busy environment.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Location: Sydney, NSW (Roles also availbale in Newcastle NSW & Canberra ACT)
- Hours: Standard hours (38-40 pw) + Overtime with penalty rates
- On-Call: As per rotating roster
Position Purpose
As a Restoration Technician, you will be the first point of contact for customers following events such as water damage, fire, biohazard, and specialist cleaning claims. You will manage jobs from first attendance through to completion, ensuring quality work, clear communication, and cost-effective outcomes for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out restoration works across water, fire, biohazard, detailed cleaning, and electronics
- Identify and understand scopes of work for insurance claims
- Install, monitor, and manage restoration equipment to maximise efficiency
- Communicate clearly with customers, insurers, supervisors, and internal teams
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including assessments, damage schedules, authorities, and timesheets
- Take clear, labelled site photos and provide detailed job updates
- Identify scope variations and escalate as required
- Ensure all works comply with insurance authorities, company procedures, and WHS legislation
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work sites
- Participate in on-call duties and overtime as required
